Vote on Constitutional Amendments – This Thursday

During this and the last academic school year, IUP Pride Alliance officers have been working on some revisions to the organization’s constitution so that it can more accurately reflect our goals. We have concluded our editing process and would like to share the final changes with you.

Before this document can become IUP Pride Alliance’s official constitution, it must approved by a formal vote of our members. We will be having this vote on amendments to the IUP Pride Alliance Constitution this Thursday, March 13th during the regular meeting.

Attached you will find a copy of the proposed Constitution that will come to a vote on Thursday. You may bring questions to be discussed prior to the vote or email an officer any questions you may have. Only members who have paid their dues at the time of the election are eligible to vote.

After the vote, we will spend the remainder of the meeting discussing plans for the remainder of the semester. We will be fleshing out and formalizing the programming and event ideas brought up at our last meeting. Come help us end this year with a bang!

REMINDER: SAGE is hosting a general interest meeting Thursday at 6:30pm in the Conemaugh Room for the event The Speak-Out. This event was created as an opportunity for those who are marginalized because of their gender or sexuality to talk about their experiences. Women, nonbinary, and transgender people as well as people who do not identify as heterosexual are welcome to participate. Check out their article in The BEAK for more information.
